Plumbing FAQs
1000+ five-star reviews
Questions come in thick and fast on the ridge, and most of them are about the same handful of things: what a job costs, how fast help arrives, and whether a crew that works on five-acre blocks really is different from one that works the suburbs. The answers below cover the lot.

Pricing and quotes
How much does a call out cost?
Nothing. The call out fee is $0, your plumber inspects the job, and you receive a fixed written price before any work begins, so if you decline the quote you owe nothing at all.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Every job is priced as one fixed amount in writing before work starts, which means weekend or evening timing makes no difference to what you pay.
What if the job turns out bigger than the quote?
It won't change the number. The written price covers the complete fix we quoted, and if a proper diagnosis reveals extra work, that gets its own price and your approval before a spanner moves.

Availability and response
Can you come out after hours or on weekends?
Yes. Phones are answered by a licensed plumber around the clock, including weekends and public holidays, and crews are dispatched whenever a job needs urgent attention.
How quickly can you reach an emergency?
Vans work the Hills District streets daily and are stocked for first-visit fixes, so response is fast, though exact timing depends on your location and the conditions at the time.
What should I do while waiting for an emergency plumber?
Turn off the water at the meter for a burst, isolate the gas at the bottle or meter valve if you smell gas, and avoid using fixtures that drain toward a backing-up line. More make-safe detail sits on the emergency plumbing page.

Licensing and guarantees
Are your plumbers licensed and insured?
Every plumber on the team holds full licensing and insurance under licence #275278C, and compliance certificates are provided with the invoice on every applicable job.
What work does the Lifetime Labour Warranty cover?
Workmanship on every completed job is guaranteed for life. If something we have done is not right, we return and make it right with no questions and no cost.

Services and this area
Can you handle septic and wastewater systems on acreage?
Yes. Properties beyond the reticulated sewer run septic and aerated systems that need pump-outs, servicing and eventual replacement, and that work is a regular part of the week here.
Do you work on long drainage runs across big blocks?
Absolutely. Camera inspections and high-pressure jetting reach well past the house, which matters where roots invade private lines running a hundred metres toward a street or tank. The drainage hub explains the full diagnosis path.
Can you replace a large hot water system the same day?
In most cases, yes. Big multi-bathroom homes are matched with a correctly sized replacement, the old cylinder is removed, and the new unit is commissioned before we leave.
Which areas do you cover beyond the suburb itself?
Work extends across the surrounding Hills District, including Westleigh, Cherrybrook, Glenhaven, Galston and Hornsby, with the same fixed pricing and warranty on every job.
